I'm seriously thinking about buying SAS/C (just got a new credit card), but I wondered if y'all might answer a couple of questions for me first. 1. How well does it work on a two-floppy (no HD, obviously) system? I'm not expecting blazing performance or anything, but I'd like not to have to switch disks in the middle; I'd also like not to have to switch disks to run, say, the optimizer or the debugger. However, it's all right with me if I have to set up a disk for each separate project I'm working on. (Can't be _that_ much work ... uh ... can it?) 2. I see it selling for ~$200, but I know there's an educational discount (or was, when it was Lattice C). How much (roughly) should I expect to pay at educational pricing, and what sort of proof does SAS require? ------ Scott Maxwell (Scott.Maxwell@samba.acs.unc.edu or CSMAXWEL @ ECUVM1.BITNET) "Let the fools _have_ their tartar sauce." -- M.
