[comp.sys.amiga.misc] X on amiga

ddyer@hubcap.clemson.edu (Doug Dyer) (01/11/91)

I've heard of a couple of X ports existing running on WorkBench, and
was wondering if anyone uses it.

*Is it compatible with A3000?
*What are the hardware requirements?
*cost and who sells it

If there is a small, incomplete PD version that will do.

Thanx a million to any replies.

Dale Luck's "GfxBase" makes a complete X-Windows package for the Amiga. I
think it's up to X11 rev 4, but I'm not certain of it. And I'm quite sure
that Dale would make sure that it runs on a 3000 and WB 2.0x. I don't have
GfxBase's address or phone number handy, but I think they're in Milpitas,
CA. They're definately in that general area (Silicon Gulch). If you want
a full X implementation, that's the best place to start.
