I'm looking for a tool (preferably PD/Shareware) that allows me to write simple, possibly *recursive*, algorithms and to plot points easily. This would be used by me to create various fractals for a math class. I know that there are programs that create fractals for me; I DO NOT WANT one of those! I want to write the algorithms myself and use simple plotting commands to create the images. (ie. given a point P=(x,y), PLOT(x,y) ) I know that I could use C or Pascal or Modula 2, but I do not know nearly enough to open the various graphics libraries and do the plotting, etc. I don't have time to learn how to program graphics on the Amiga just for this course. The professor likes to use PC Matlab for the IBM, but I need an Amiga solution if possible. I have seen, and am looking at, Amiga MATLAB from the Fish disks. However, I don't think Amiga MATLAB allows recursion. I do not require super speed or bells and whistles, just what I have said. I don't want to use AmigaBASIC, because it is a dog. Any pointers appreciated. | Baird McIntosh | c503719@umcvmb.missouri.edu <-or-> c503719@umcvmb.bitnet | | COOL DRIVING TECHNIQUE #5: Wait for the closest parking space; ignore the | | cars behind you who'd be happy with *any* space sometime this millenium. |
