The Software: UUCP 1.08D, the one Matt Dillon just released to the world. The Hardware: Amiga3000UX running AmigaDos 2.0, connected via a standard serial cable to a RolmPhone some-number-or-other, which ties me in to the on-campus CBX network. The Setup : Getty called with the following command line: run nil: nil: Getty -B19200 -Md -c0 -h0 CBX is reasonably fast for a serial connection; 19200 baud. Problem is, it's very stupid. It doesn't interact with programs very well. Especially those which answer incoming data calls. As soon as it gets a DTR, it sends it's idiotic connect message to your local term. so, Getty things you're already connected, but the CBX is busy, 'cause IT thinks you want to dial out. HOW can I get getty and cbx to work together? Getting another modem is not an option; it's a digital phone system, and doesn't like third-party add-ons. Can anyone help me? P.S. Sorry for the C.S.A post; ucbvax.berkeley.edu isn't relaying articles to the new groups yet. I've mailed them to complain about this, but so far haven't gotten any responce. Anyone know what the deal with this is? -- Frank McPherson INTERNET: emcphers@fox.cs.vt.edu --
