[comp.sys.amiga.misc] csa.reviews, wherefore art thou ?

myb100@csc.anu.edu.au (02/01/91)

Hmmm - didn't we vote to create a group called comp.sys.amiga.reviews ?
We've got all the new groups here, except that one. Is anybody getting that
group ? Particularly in Oz, but anywhere ?

We've got it here, although it didn't show up right away with all the other
groups. I recall reading a post that said something about some difficulties
with the create group command. I didn't pay any attention to it, though,
since we already had it by the time I saw it. Maybe you should check with
your sight administrator.

Have a gander at this:

Pool of Radiance is a good game trapped within a terrible user
interface. PoR is essentially a software version AD&D in the same
vein as Bard's Tale and Dungeon Master. It is not as good as either.

[ed. note: Does anyone use this on an A3000? Does it function?]

It's getting to ccadfa, so it should be getting to csc.anu - our side feeds
off you, doesn't it?

As the moderator of comp.sys.amiga.reviews, I think I can safely say that
the group does exist. Articles have been posted to that group. It is
possible that those articles were lost in some temporal vortex between
your site and mine, but I doubt it. The best solution, as always, is to
check with your site administrator.

I am always willing to help with problems in any way that I can, but
problems like these are out of my hands. If you wish to submit a review,
but have missed the introduction documents, I will mail them to you.

If anyone has any questions reguarding comp.sys.amiga.reviews, I am
always reachable at the address above and below this posting.

Send in those submissions!

This looks like a good time to say this...

Comp.sys.amiga.reviews does exist and there is traffic in it. I count
nine articles at my site, one of which is a test. So far the entire
group of monthly postings have gone out (next full posting: March 1,
1991) along with one review. The rebuttals to that review are bring
processed now. I have several reviews in the pipeline. Writing these
things takes time, and it is not up to me to do the writing.

So, my message: Uncle Jason needs YOU!

If you are a use or read anything related to the Amiga, and you
think other people would be interested in the product, then subscribe to
comp.sys.amiga.reviews and pick up the guidelines for making submissions.
Read them. Understand them. Mail me with questions. Then write a great
review and send it to me.

C'Mon, folks, the world is just waiting to know...
