[comp.sys.amiga.misc] Booting A3000 in 1.3 mode

vrr@cbnewsj.att.com (veenu.r.rashid) (02/24/91)

How does one boot an A3000 under 1.3 workbench?
I hear this can be done, but I have not yet
figured it out. This is so I can play some
games which crash under 2.0. (Test Drive 2,
anyone?) Restarting the machine enable 2.0,
and I do not know that a copy of the 1.3
kickstart is on my hard drive.

Thanks very much,
Veenu

Veenu,
Unless you've changed something, you can boot your Amiga 3000 up under
1.3 by holding down both mouse buttons and turning the machine on. After a
few seconds you will be presented with a menu that will let you select
whether you want to boot under 2.0 or 1.3. Just choose the 1.3 (hard drive)
option and there you go.
