Hello all, We've been trying to get Amigas at Lehigh for some time now. A little background: Last summer, CBM showed up with lotsa Amigas to demo them to our EdTech dept, currently test site Intel/IBM DVI and Multimedia hw/sw. However due to some mis-information from here, they concentrated on powerhouse machines and didn't demo any multimedia stuff (AmigaVision etc...). Anyway, the Dept. didn't end up getting any of the stuff. Now, they ARE interested in the UNIX machines and the prices are attractive to them. We contacted General Computer Center and they told us that there was a program available from CBM wherein you evaluated the machine for a certain amount of time, and then decided if you want to go with it. We convinced the computing center to try this out, but General Computer now says that CBM has discontinued this program! What I would like very much is to get some concrete information from a CBM rep regarding the educational policies for their line of Amiga products. I know that the University is considering Unix machines and I would like them to consider the AmigaUx. So far they've only seen AUX from Apple! I can be contacted at: Binoy James Lehigh Univ. Micro Store. 524 Brodhead Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18015. It would be important to get any policies in writing so that it can be to the appropriate people for further action. Thanks for your time, Bin ps: Who do I contact regarding becoming an Amiga student rep?
