I am looking for a program to generate barcodes (on a preferences printer)
I have seen such a program, just not when I wanted it, and have lost the
source.
If you know of such a program, could you please email me, telling me
where I can find it!
Thanks.
David.
PS, I have a relativly complete fish catalog collection, but 'grep' didnt
find "barcode" or "bar code" anywhere, and I know not what else to search
for!

I too am interested in a bar code printer, but I'd like one that prints those anemic bar codes used by the postal service (have you noticed how SLOW mail has been lately? 4 days for a first class letter). If no one has created such a beast, then where would I find documentation on the format of the postal service bar codes so I can roll my own? Julie Petersen (LadyHawke)

Your local post office can give you a manual that explains the format required for all business mail, including USPS barcodes. What I want to know is where I can get a CDROM database of ZIP+4 codes so that I can take advantage of the discount rate once I get so I can print the code on envelopes. If you get around to writing the program, please print the graphics using the Preferences driver protocol so that it will work with any printer. I'd be interested in getting a copy from you. I never seem to get around to these things myself any more :-(. /*=========================================================================== | Gary A. -- The Bar Code program that you are looking for is on the April/May 1990 Disk of Amiga Plus. The article is on page 53. That is Volume 2, Number 1. Mike......
