What is the latest version of the SID directory utility? I have 1.06, and is there any way of getting this to run on a 3000? Rick

I think this is the latest. It will run on an A3000 fine. The thing you need to do is make sure you define *ALL* of your buttons. Don't use the defaults. Make sure you define all eight, or whatever. -- Dan Griffin griffin@frith.egr.msu.edu

We're probably still a few months away from SID2.00 (which should be really nice!). SID1.06 will work fine on a 3000 if you do these things 3: 1) Make sure that "SeparateDirs=NO" in SID.config file. 2) Filezap the executable and change all NewCON: references to CON: (can you just "assign CON: NEWCON:" ? I don't know...) 3) NEVER use any of the directory buttons except for VOL. Either select your directories using the two boxes on top, or use VOL. I've been using it for months on my 3000 without a single problem. OK, maybe some Enforcer hits, but nothing fatal. -- Fred Hamilton Any views, comments, or ideas expressed here Harris Semiconductor are entirely my own. Even good ones. Santa Clara, CA
