[Disclaimer: This is NOT meant to be an -MB- style post] I think that these things would be slightly helpful, but not life/death-type things. A590: I think that C= should make a slightly larger case and allow the user to install SIMMs up to 8 megs. C= should ship one version with the current drive, and then offer one version with no drive in it at all. Mouse: C= should offer a three-button optical mouse, similar to the GfxBase/Boing! mouse, except with a more refined look. UNIX: C= should offer Motif with AmigaUNIX. Future A3x00 models: standard external cache --

There is a NICER looking 3-button mouse than the Boing. GoldenIMAGE makes a 3 button optical mouse called GI-1000. I have it, and I was somewhat dissapointed with my optical mouse performance compared to the Iris's workstation optical mouse. 1st) The pad they supplied was some type of cheap paper/glossy combination NOT METAL. I expected at least a small piece of sheet tin with dots on it rather than this scrap of trash. I was however able to design a layout on deluxe paint and print it out and laminate it that works as a mouse pad. The lamination prevents it from getting wet, (makes a good drink coaster too). 2nd) The resolution on this baby leaves alot to be desired. its like 250dpi which isn't bad, but from what I understand, the opto-mechanical mouse that comes with a 500 is about 300dpi. And GI makes an opto-mechanical mouse for 35$ that is 380 dpi. I paid 60$ for the optical. I would have gotten the optomechanical had I did it over again. 3rd) The 3rd button as far as I can tell has no useful features with anything you can get for kickstart 1.3. I heard about a few programs that use the third button, but they were things I would never use. I want practical applications-> CED 3 button, Turbo Silver 3 button, XCAD 3 button, Workbench 3-button, etc. I don't even know if they have the 3rd button hooked up! As far as DRAWING goes or accurate positioning, GI-1000 sucks. Whenever I go to do something in dpaint or any other program that requires pixel- accurate positioning, I get out my old amiga 1000 mouse and use it instead. Big dissapointment. Is the Boing any better?
