Is there a way (i.e., a custom bootblock, maybe?) to prevent a floppy drive from being recognized and added to the system? I just got a third drive for an incredible price (though it's a 1010...) and now I find that certain memory-intensive applications don't quite have enough memory. I'd like to avoid unplugging the drive, or hacking any cables, if at all possible. -- * From the disk of: | jms@vanth.uucp | "Speeding through the Jim Shaffer, Jr. | amix.commodore.com!vanth!jms | universe, Thinking is 37 Brook Street | uunet!cbmvax!amix!vanth!jms | the best way to travel." Well, this will require another WB disk. I'm pretty sure in either s/star tup-sequenceor s/StartupII (most likely) you'll find a command "Mount df2:" that you can just delete. Note that this is just an "I think"...not mounting the drive is your ticke t, but I'm not 100% on where the command is. Mail me if you have any problem s and I'll look it up for you (As you may have guessed I couldn't check becaus e my 'Meeg is not handy--the horrors of single tasking!! I'm pretty sure there isn't. :-) I've never needed to use Mount to add floppy drives. -- * From the disk of: | jms@vanth.uucp | "Speeding through the Jim Shaffer, Jr. | amix.commodore.com!vanth!jms | universe, Thinking is 37 Brook Street | uunet!cbmvax!amix!vanth!jms | the best way to travel."
