I've been playing with the PAL program by Nico Francois and found something interesting (actually two things). No matter what, I cannot get the vertical resolution of my machine to exceed 236 vertical scan lines in non-interlace. Isn't PAL normally 256 scan lines? I've used morerows -rows 35 and can't get much better than that. Using CygnusED's custom screen height, I can't exceed 236 either. There's still screen left over at the bottom, but its "void". If PAL is 256 lines, and my NTSC 500 running in PAL cannot exceed 236, what's the benefit? The display looks nice, but it really only seems to be the same screen compressed into a smaller area.... something I could accomplish with the control before. Am I doing something wrong? Not to mention that, but the clock is completely wrong because the power supply is 60Hz and the VBlank is now 50Hz. Is there any way around this, except moving to the UK :-) ? - Dave (Plummerd@max.cc.uregina.ca) -- David Plummer - via FidoNet node 1:140/22 UUCP: ...!herald!weyr!70!David.Plummer Domain: David.Plummer@f70.n140.z1.FIDONET.ORG Standard Disclaimers Apply...

[more deleted] I see no mention of the super agnus chip in your posting. Without this chip you will NOT be able to get PAL video. --------------------------------------- | patrick_meloy@outbound.wimsey.bc.ca | | 'The Outbound' BBS Vancouver BC | ---------------------------------------
