A few weeks ago I posted a message regarding a problem I had with the DynaCADD demos on Fish disks 434 & 435. A few days later I received a phone call from Mr. Alex David - Technical rep. for Ditek. We discussed the problems I had & Mr. David volunteered to send me a correct version of the demo. I recently received the demo & was quite impressed with what I saw. In addition to the software, Mr. David sent an introduction manual and other marketing-type information sheets. It looks like the Amiga finally is getting professional CAD software! The current version does not have associative dimensioning, automatic hidden line removal, interactive measurements, an AREXX port, or a couple of other niceties, but in general, it looks very nice. Mr. David stated that some of this stuff is already on "the drawing board", but implied it will be some time before it would be available. DynaCADD works under 2.0 (they say on the 3000, but I don't have one to test with), and works in overscan. I also want to thank Mr. David for his interest in making sure I had a proper version of the demo. To me, this is a good indication of the type of support which might be expected from Ditek.
