[comp.sys.amiga.misc] fish disks, and ux1

mtpins@umaxc.weeg.uiowa.edu (Firestar) (04/11/91)

I have received a number of mail msgs in regards to my post about saving your
money and getting the fish disks from isca.icaen.uiowa.edu instead of
contributing it so someone can continue to purchase them and put them on
ux1. First, I would like to thank whoever has been spending the cash to
keep ux1 up to date, as I've grabbed as much from there as probably anyone has.
However, at this point, I see no need for anyone else to be spending their own
money, when ISCA is willing to buy them. If ux1 wants to continue to have the
latest fish disks online, they can simply ftp them from isca. A good deal of
what I have on isca I grabbed from ux1, so I see no reason for them not to
get them from us hereafter. Personally, I'd like to see ux1 continue to carry
the latest fish disks, as it would help reduce the ftp load here.
