[comp.sys.amiga.misc] Mouse/Clock/PopUp utils.

Do you use a mouse accelerator and blanker utility?

I bet you do. Me too, and since the first week of my Amiga computing.
There are numerous such utilities in the PD/Shareware, and each with it's
good points and bad points.

I have used Qmouse, MachIII, ClockDJ, Dmouse, PopCli, etc.

What I need is a NON-Dragable Clock, Chip & Fast Memory on my Workbench.
Only PopCli offer PART of this, but doesn't have Chip and Fast memory display.
ClockDJ and MachIII has these features, but they are dragable.
Qmouse has a Memory and Clock feature, non-dragable, but I need a Chip RAM
display. (besides, Qmouse is a little outdated)

I'm considering using Dmouse and it's custom blanker for mouse accelerating
and screen/mouse blanking. What utility offers a non-dragable CHIP-memory
display?

I would appreciate your help on this matter.

That's funny, I have this on my screen without any external utility.
Just look at your WB: You have a memory display in the title bar and
a clock. For the latter, you can choose the utilties/clock which is
sufficiently configurable (not attached to the pointer) OR the
utilities/ClockPtr which is attached to the pointer.

The remaining issues (blanker, Chip RAM display and mouse accelerator)
will be satisfied when you can convert to 2.0 one day. It's in there.

Why on Earth would you need this? Oh well, ours is not to question why...

The latest version of ClockDJ (don't recall the number, 4.12?) has an option
to stick it to another window. I don't recall whether you can stick it to
the Workbench screen itself. I played with the option, but it wants to stick
over the left-hand side where I have WShell putting the current directory
name...

When in sticky mode the clock acts exactly as if it were part of the title
stripe of the window you choose. It moves when you move the window. I don't
know what would happen if you sized the window narrower than the clock is.
