[comp.sys.amiga.misc] So can a500's trade to a3000's?

6600prao@ucsbuxa.ucsb.edu (Parik Rao) (04/28/91)

All this "power up to A3000s" has me jumping. Unfortunately Commodore
isn't open after 6pm so its hard to call their phones (not to mention
I don't even know the number(s)). Have there been any official
announcements on the Trade-up deals, and if so, can anyone tell me
where to find them?

Barring the above, I'd appreciate anyone posting commodore's support
line to call about the above info during the <shudder> wee-hours of
the day.

According to the brochure, if you own a VIC 20, 64, 128, or an Amiga 500, 1000
or 2000 series, you simply write the serial number on the cover of your
original owners manual and take it to an authorized Commodore dealer. The
deal is $1,500 of an A3000-25/100, $1,250 off the A3000-25/50, and $1,150 off
the A3000-16/50.

I was sort of hoping to pick up a A3000T, but it's not included in this offer
(our local dealer speculates that they are trying to reduce the stock on these
other A3000 models before the release of the A3000T's) but I don't think I can
afford to pass up this sort of discount.
