Well, there *IS* a Monitor/Debugger/Freezer cartridge! It's called
the
Amiga Action Replay II and sells for around $100... It's GREAT and
perfect for the applications you describe...

 I would avoid the Amiga 2000 version of the cart, ESPECIALLY if you
have a hard drive or memory expansion. The cart does not work with
memory expansion very well and will bomb if you have more than 3 megs.
The cart trashed my HD when it crashed my machine during a write to the
HD and I had to restore the partition. It seemed to randomly crash my
machine when installed and I was using WB or AmigaDOS (read not using
the cart). It has no NTSC mode (only PAL) also. Not a very well designed
product in my opinion.
