[comp.sys.amiga.misc] BBS Software Request

amigamig@drabbs.capitola.ca.us (Beloved Worshiper Of Anarchy) (05/09/91)

I am running a bbs on an Amiga 500. I can't seem to find any software
anywhere that will support FidoNet mail and echos. Could comeone please help?

The software I am using right now is AmigaUUCP by Matt Dillon. I am looking
for some sort of "door" program that will run from the CLI, sksh, csh or
some sort of shell because the users use Unix-like shells for their bbs
enviornment. All messages and mail are handled as the site..
drabbs.capitola.ca.us Is there any software I can use to gate fido mail/echos
to uucp mail/newsgroups so I don't have to make the BBS so screwy? thanks.

You should be able to run the IBM Program 'FrontDoor'. I'm not sure if it
will work properly or not.. Try contacting 'Patrick Young' at this same
BBS. He's running the Board off of an Amiga 3000 with UUCP. But I'm not
sure what he's doing in the way of FIDO Compatibility..

Not that easy unless you have a 2000 or 2500 w/Bridgeboard, a
3000, or some way of putting a Bridgeboard on a 500. I think he
wants something Amiga-specific.
