I just installed 2.03. The dealer wanted to install it himself, but I hadn't brought my machine, so I got copies of four disks. IMPORTANT: Boot off of the INSTALLATION disk. Don't boot off of the new WorkBench disk. I did this wrong, and the installation script didn't work properly. There was this "iconpos" command that wasn't found until I booted from the proper place. I also got some other error messages. On the first attempt, I was asked only for the (new) 2.0 disks. On the second (and third) attempt, I had to supply the 1.3 Extras and Workbench disks (I used my original distribution that came with the 3000). Why would the script want this on some times? My customized files and preferences were not messed up from the install. I found the HDBackup program, which wasn't supplied in earlier releases. I also found a program that shows you what symbols are where on the keyboard. I tried this after installing the Dvorak keymap, just for yucks. I suddenly realized that Dvorak was a great idea, and I was about to use it here, for this message, then I realized that I had to use vi.... Durn. What else has been improved with 2.03? I have not noticed any major changes. If there are bug fixes, what has been fixed? In what situations or applications are the fixes obvious?
