This is no insult to you Jeff, just an observation. Its kinda funny to see people jumpin up and down to see one CBM ad. There are PC ads in the millions. Its kinda understandable though, that someone would be excited to see an ad from a company that does not do a lot of public advertisement (IMHO). Is CBM advertising that bad that we have come to this?? I guess I will take a look at that Compute magazine now. :-) Sri

I even saw one educational magazine sponsored by C= devoting it on multimedia. C= adds in those magazines are usually 2 pages.

It would have been better in Byte in full color, but still an Amiga add is an Amiga add. I would like to see Amax take out a full page add in MacWorld or something, now that would be a kick. But anyways any kind of add in any mag. is a step forward. Now to drop my subsription ot compute. -- // Jeff Hyche There can be only one! \\ // Usenet: hychejw@infonode.ingr.com \X/ Freenet: ap255@po.CWRU.Edu

It was stylish, exciting and was a double spread in a prominent part of the paper. This is all well and good, but WHY DON'T THEY KEEP IT UP? One advert on its own, one week is not good enough, you need to repeatedly bash it into peoples heads, until they are so excited, they just have to go out and buy one :-) Single adverts surely don't get this kind of response, maybe CBM UK could give us an idea of response to this advert? As far as seeing CBM ads... in the latest BYTE magazine is an indirect ad by Quantum thanking Commodore for their support by making the quantum pro line the standard for all the new machines. Kinda interesting. I think we should stop asking WHEN Commodore will advertise, and instead, ask them why they ARENT advertising.. Its like theyre letting the machien go to waste.. Arc
