[comp.sys.amiga.misc] BinHex and StuffIt... and my Amiga! Help!!!

gblock@csd4.csd.uwm.edu (Gregory R Block) (05/24/91)

Okay, folks, I need help. I'd like to unbinhex and unstuff a few Mac
sound files. Can anyone tell me if it's possible, and the programs I
need to do it???

And give me a place to ftp, if possible.

I know of no Amiga progs that can handle .sit files but you can get
unstuffit-deluxe-20.hqx which is pd. Of course you'll need
binhex4.bin (or someother prog) to handle .hqx.

Both of these files can be found on sumex.stanford.edu in
/info-mac/util

I have an unstuffit-izer... I have put it in the incoming/amiga
directory...

you might want to try FTPing "StuffIt 1.6" or "StuffIt 1.51"
at Sumix.Aim.stanford.edu or rascal.utexas.edu...

Oops! sorry, guys, I have made a mistake. The FTP site shouldn't be
"Sumix.Aim.stanford.edu." Instead, it should be "sumex-aim.stanford.edu"

sorry for the confusion,
Kelvin

That would be fine, IF I HAD A MAC. I'm an Amiga user, and neither of
those will work. I now have UnSit 0.9, I'm now looking for a program
to unbinhex files. "xbin", perhaps.
