About CBM advertising... I don't quite get it when all sorts of non-industry f*cks, and people that are IN the industry bitch and moan about how CBM doesn't advertise anywhere. Where are you looking? In AmigaWorld? On T.V.? On Radio? I have seen MANY Amiga ads, most well done, in many publications, targeted towards the typical reader of that publication. They Advertise in many Video magazines, both hobbyist and professional. They advertise the 3000UX in Unix Today!, a full page ad comparing the UX (and the fact that it runs SVR4) with both the NeXts and MAc IIfx (they don't run SVR4),,, They advertise in various college newspapers, and during the holiday season (when it might be a bit more worth the $$$) they do TV and RADIO. So what the hell's the problem? Are you blind? The Amiga is a niche computer, pure and simple. I don't even think CBM is trying to fool themselves into thinking they can conquer the DOS/Mac thing. The NeXT is a niche tool, as well. BUT, the Amiga run SVR4, NeXT doesn't. This is a BIG deal. Pick up a UNIX publication and look at the ads sometime. read a few articles. Then you'll see why CBM is doing UNIX. That will be their Business 'niche' - BTW UNIX is going WAY mainstream corporate... and DOS & OS/2 are losing popularity... --------------------------- _ _ _ _ ___ __ __ _ __ _ | Kurt "Koleman" Koller | ( )/ ) /,\ ( ) ( __)( \/ ) ( ) ( \ ( ) | P.O.
