Fish Disks 481-490 are now available for anonymous ftp at grind.isca.uiowa.edu Fish Disks 451-480 should be following in the next week. (I decided to put the newest up first....) I'd like to apologize for the long delays. My Amiga is STILL in the shop, and a friend just offered the use of his A500 until I get my A3000 back, so I'm back in business. In the future, I'll be uploading the disks as I get them from Fred. After getting a number of mail msgs, I checked to find out just what was happening. Much to my annoyance, I discovered that when implementing new software, Dave broke the standard ftp commands (like ls). This WILL be fixed soon, but in the meantime you will have to use "dir" and put up with the bbs formatting. Sorry for the hassles. Since then, one of the sysadmins has mucked with the software, and broke parts of it. I didn't realize any of this had happened until a lot of people started complaining. It will be fixed RSN, but until then, people will need to use dir instead of ls. Since > your Quantum is the only SCSI peripheral, make sure it is > terminated. The 105 has three terminator packs. They are Are you sure that the first device must be terminated? I ask because: 1) The GVP manual suggests otherwise (d*mn vague!) 2) GVP tech support asked me if I had tried removing the terminating resistors. 3) The 2091 has a section of the board labeled "terminating resistors" At any rate, I think the board has problems above any possible termination trouble. I took it into a dealer who had a 2000+2091+Quantum 52LPS. This combination had been working flawlessly for months. I took the 2091 out, plugged in the GVP and hooked up the 52LPS to it. "Unexpected SCSI Status $1E/$68" I sent the board back to GVP on Friday. Eric Edwards: c506634 @ "I say we take off and nuke the entire site Inet: umcvmb.missouri.edu from orbit. Feel free to use it until that node goes away (which will happen probably in the next few weeks). After that, it will be necessary to use grind.isca until we get enough cash to buy a second node. (isca01 is on loan from the College of Engineering, and they are requesting it's return) Firestar -- ***************************************************************************** * Michael Pins (Firestar) | Internet: amigapd@grind.isca.uiowa.edu * * ISCA's Amiga Librarian | #include <std.disclaimer> * *****************************************************************************
