I think I've read somewhere that the easiest colors on your eyes are green and brown. These will fatigue your eyesight the least, while glowing red or blue will give you the most eyestrain. I guess that's one reason why most terminals have green-on-black displays and a few have light-brown on black. Same for the dashes of digital displays in cars. Anyway, following none of this sagely advice I've chosen a black on dark blue display for my terminal program not because it's easiest to read or anything but because I have the gut feeling it's the least phosphor-grinding choice for the monitor itself. (Where am I putting my priorities??). BTW, being poor as I am, I still use my model 1702 from my 64 days along with a clunky RF modulator hooked on the back of the 500. I'm always getting some kind of visible cross-reference lines across the screen and it bugs the hell out of me but I live with it. Rasiel
