[comp.sys.amiga.introduction] Amiga 1000 peripherals on A2000?

mattel@attc.UUCP (Matt Telles) (04/04/91)

Hi guys! I have a question. I am buying an Amiga 2000 (to upgrade my existing
1000 which I am getting rid of). Now, the question:

I have the following peripherals for the 1000. Which, if any, can I use with
the 2000?

   -- Amiga 1084 Color Monitor
-- External 3.5" floppy disk drive (It is NOT a 1010 -- don't recall who
makes it.)
   -- Miniscribe 40 meg hardcard.
-- Panasonic Laser Partner (Laser Printer)

Many thanks!
Matt

*** huh? A hardcard on a 1000? If it has a normal Zorro bus, then ok.

*** why not?

Can be used with any Amiga.

Probably can be used with any Amiga.

If the drive itself is removeable, it probably can be used with any
Amiga and almost any controller (SCSI).

This should also work on any Amiga if you have the correct driver.

Of course! This is an Amiga, not a Mac or IBM! You should expect not to
have to buy new parts every time you upgrade!
