I just reciueved a NEC 5D, and connected it to my A3000ux. It works, but only uses resolutions up to 800x600 for X, and only standard overscan for AmigaDOS. I tried a few things, then gave up... What I need to know is what settings (software & hardware) should I use to get 1024x1024 (or even better -> 1280x1024)?? (I realize that color X is impossible until TIGA (2410)) Any ideas, help and especially SOLUTIONS would be great... The standard display hardware in the machine only does NTSC (deinterlaced) resolutions. The A2024 has special hardware that takes a screen sent out as several frames, and re- combines them into an (about) 1Kx800 or 1Kx1K (maybe that's 1280horizontal) grey-scale (4-level) display. Thus the full-screen update rate is 10 or 15 hertz (depending). The A2410 is 1Kx1K or so, 256 out of 16M, 60Hz (34010 based).
