[comp.unix.amiga] Audio In/Out on serial port line

rhealey@kas.helios.mn.org (Rob Healey) (06/19/91)

Anybody know if it's possible to access and use the audio In and
Out pins on the Motherboard RS232 port under UNIX?

	i.e. page B-3, pins 11 & 18 in
	"Introducing The Commodore Amiga 3000"

I'm thinking Voice Mail type stuff here... How might one connect up a
speaker and microphone to this and use it? Those Mac people in
	comp.sys.amiga.advocacy are getting REAL annoying.

	Just another deranged thought...

Oh huh, please don't be disappointed, but these Audio In pins are only
there to be mixed with the Amiga-generated signals and then immediately
be output again. There is absolutely *NO* provision for digitizing
these signals.
