Thanks Keith(amix) for that answer on why the blitter wasn't used for Amiga unix. I fail to understand why the reason wasn't publicised a lot earlier. It makes sense if you think about it but i spose when you come from the Amiga side of it all you hear is how the blitter does the graphics block moving operations allowing the 68k to run at full steam. But when you get to a '30 you don't need this aid i spose? Although the X R3 stuff i saw on a 3000ux was a bit slow for my liking i think the machine had 8mb of ram (2/6) and a a2024 monitor.
