As a new subscriber to the modula-3 group, I apologize if I'm posting questions which have already been answered. I have attempted to install modula-3 on an HP 9000/400 running hp-ux 7.03 (I'm using HP300 as the system type). I made a few simple changes in C files to achieve compatibility with the C library routines but I have not changed any of the imake files or the ".tmpl" files. The compiler "m3compiler" is not getting generated although the binaries are being produced in subdirectories of .ROOT/system/compiler. I also seem to be having trouble in the generation of the libraries. The following listing shows the archive files (only one of which is nonempty in some cases because of the lack of binaries where it would seem some should have been produced). 8 Jan 13 19:52 ./libs/io/libm3io.a 8 Jan 13 19:56 ./libs/Xt/libm3Xt.a 8 Jan 13 19:54 ./libs/math/libm3math.a 8 Jan 13 19:54 ./libs/misc/libm3misc.a 8 Jan 13 19:55 ./libs/Xlib/libm3X11.a 8 Jan 13 19:56 ./libs/Xaw/libm3Xaw.a 8 Jan 13 19:54 ./libs/ultrix-3.1/libm3ultrix-3.1.a 8 Jan 13 19:54 ./libs/data/libm3data.a 8 Jan 13 19:55 ./libs/aix-ps2-1.2/libm3aix-ps2-1.2.a 8 Jan 13 19:55 ./libs/ibm-4.3/libm3ibm-4.3.a 8 Jan 13 19:55 ./libs/aix-3.1/libm3aix-3.1.a 8 Jan 13 19:55 ./libs/posix/libm3posix.a 8 Jan 13 19:55 ./libs/hpux-7.0/libm3hpux-7.0.a 387034 Jan 13 19:52 ./system/corelib/libm3core.a If someone has some suggestions as to places to look, I'd greatly appreciate any help. Responses can be mailed directly to me at: griffin@opal.idbsu.edu. If there is interest, I will post a summary of the responses. Thanks in advance for any help.
