I am sighted, so I don't know how smart this sounds, but it seems to me that
a blind person would not want a reciever for both ears since I believe that
they "see" (if you will) the most with their ears!  A one ear reciever at most!

	I saw a real device on TV a year or two ago that was worn like
glasses and sent out ultrasonic signals.  The wearer was fed a tone
proportional in frequency to the frequency shift of the received signal
(the echo).  I think it was also proportional in amplitude to the
amplitude of the echo.  (This is similar to the doppler radar the
military uses.) It was done in stereo, and the result was an ability to
locate objects and tell their speed.  They showed someone (blind)
walking down a pretty crowded street with one on.  Havent heard of it
since tho.
