I would like to get a FAX modem and software for a 386 (PC) system running Interactive UNIX. I would interested in any recommendations/warnings for these products. Also, prices would be helpful! I would like an external modem version, but would consider internal versions (especially if the price is right). I would also be interested in any tips anyone would have on how to convert word processor output, Word Perfect or Microsoft Word, to electronic FAX and how this might relate on choosing a product -Michael tague@witchcraft.sf.ca.us (415) 752-2477

A fax board is doing the same thing when you try to send a text file to it. Some commercial products have the enhanced capability in converting files from different sources including Word Perfect. What the users have to do is simply hit a "hot key" to bring up the TSR, specify who, where, and when to send the fax, and there it goes. F.Y.I.
