I'm interested in obtaining a FAX board for my IBM PC clone (25 MHz 386). It MUST have the following capabilities: 1) able to work under MS-Windows 3.0 and send FAXes that are created with Windows Apps, such as Word for Windows, PageMaker, etc., which contain fonts (from Adobe Type Manager) and, possibly graphics. 2) be able to display incoming FAXes on the screen, hopefully from inside Windows, and print them out on my HP LaserJet Series II compatible printer It would be nice if: 1) the board doesn't require an IRQ line 2) it included the software necessary to accomplish the tasks in the "MUST" list above (a coupon/postcard for a free software package would be acceptable, but it would be preferable if the actual disk(s)/manual(s) were packed in the box with the board 3) UNIX support was/will be provided Two boards that come to mind are the Calculus EZ-Faxit (I think) and the Intel SatisFAXion. The Calculus seems to fill ALL of the criteria (except possibly the UNIX support). The Intel doesn't, as it has an on-board modem (needing an IRQ), and has a postcard for the software (which I understand takes about a month to get processed). Do any of you out there have the Calculus board? I would appreciate any comments you have about it. Also, where can I purchase one?
