["I've seen that look of hate inside. I see it in those Hollow Eyes."] Sure Ron! You tell me that I think that someone who is popular can't be talented. Clearly you have a good handle on the way I think! Let's take a little look at my three favorite musical groups or artists: Kate Bush -- Second in popularity only to ABBA (ick!) throughout all of Europe for a two year period (78-80). At that time, the the most photographed person in all of England. The Beatles -- The most successful musicians (commercially) ever. Pink Floyd -- Perhaps the second most successful musicians ever (if not second, pretty darn close). "Dark Side of the Moon" was on the Billboard top 200 chart for more than ten years! They even beat out The Beatles in Boston to win the WBCN (#1 station in Boston) award (determined by listener polls over several years) as the best rock group ever. Clearly, Ron you have my opinions down perfect. A popular muscial artist can't be any good. Then you imply Ron, that I have no appreciation for what an artist does. I may not have much experience as a musical artist, but does that mean that I cannot appreciate musical art. I do have some experience as a fiction writer and as a creative photographer, so I think I do have a good handle on what art is about. You imply that you understand musical art because you played saxophone for 12 years. So what, Ron? Did you WRITE music? If you did, then maybe you do have some appreciation (and maybe not). Just playing a saxaphone is no more artistic than being a player piano, Ron! You tell me that all of the people in the USA for Africa song are talented people. Many of them never had any artistic talent. Perhaps they have talent for making money or perhaps they're just lucky. If the talent they have is for making money, then they are just like the jerks on Madison Avenue. I'd rather have my arms and legs amputated than acquire such "talent". The people in USA for Africa who did once have talent haven't done anything artistic for years and years. Not only that, but they didn't even contribute anything significant except for a few moments of singing, or whatever. Many of the people there could be completely characterized by a quote by Lionel Richie (from an interview in "Rockbill"): I'm not a studied musician. I'm an opportunist. Another wonderful quote: I believe that life is on a track, and all you have to do throughout your entire life is read the signs. My, that sounds artistic, Ron. Sure, I'll go appologise to Lionel right now. Or as soon as I stop puking. You call me a hypocrate for saying that Kate Bush is better than Bach, even though I clearly stated that that was just my opinion, several times, in fact. You on the other hand, tell me that it is a FUNDAMENTAL fact of the universe that Bach is much much better than Kate Bush -- that Kate Bush is a nobody, and that she will NEVER be as good. You do this in all capital letters, and then you tell everyone that want to rape Kate Bush too! I think it's clear where the hypocracy lies! I'm sick of this whole schmere too, Ron, and I just wish you could understand how non-intelligent thought can cloud your judgement. "Like a bludgeon (Ouch!)
