He have a problem with an external Tornado II fax/modem (FM 4824 E). Its a modem that can be used as a normal modem, but also as a fax modem: with certain software (Quicklink II, and others) you can send files with it to a fax. This software works and DOS, Macintoshes etc. but not on Unix. We want to use the modem with our Unix system, and we want to write a program that uses the faxmodem, but we don't know what we must send exactly through the RS232 port to do that job. We have the knowledge about asychronous communication etc, but we must know what the faxmodem expects in order to send a fax. -- Erik Esmeijer
