[bionet.genome.chrom22] Looking for Postdoctoral Research Associate

SHEPHERD%ESVAX@dupont.com (05/31/91)

As part of the recently awarded center's grant for mapping of human
chromosome 22, I am interested in receiving applications for a postdoctoral
research associate to work on the construction of a chromosome 22 specific
library from flow-sorted material in the bacteriophage P1 cloning system.
These clones will be used in conjunction with chromosome 22 specific
YAC clones (derived by others in the center) to generate an overlapping
contig map of the chromosome and STS markers. The candidate must
therefore have good interpersonal skills and willing to work as a team
member with other center participants. The candidate could expect to
learn state-of-the-art technology with respect to genome mapping and
analysis. In addition, there will be ample opportunity to gain exposure to
the role of genetics in an industrial pharmaceutical research environment.
The candidate must be willing to relocate and begin the project in the very
near future.
