Has anyone experienced problems with the redirection facility offered by version 3 of Acorns C compiler ? Specifically when I tried using << with some compiled C programs I got a load of gibberish ! (OK I know its not supported but even with < I had the same result !) I'd like to point out that the version of sml available from the Newcastle MR Server, doesn't exactly work - specifcally if you try something silly such as 0.0/0.0; it results in a floating point exception. I believe that this is a bug in the Acorn C LIBRARY - as an aside, Huw Rogers (rogersh - nethack, etc...) has rewritten the C Library routines, with porting UNIX applications in mind - apparently his signal/exception routines work - and I've certainly found it easier to port one or two items. +--------------------------------+-----------------------------------------+ | ()()TEVEN () | Are you sure it isn't time for another | | () ()() | colorful metaphor? -- Spock, | | ()() () ()AN () () | "The Voyage Home," stardate 8390. | | () ()() ()()()() +-----------------------------------------+ | ()() () () ()ARDT |JANET E-mail : vanaards@uk.ac.man.cs.p4 | +--------------------------------+-----------------------------------------+ +--------------------------------+-----------------------------------------+ | ()()TEVEN () | Are you sure it isn't time for another | | () ()() | colorful metaphor? -- Spock, | | ()() () ()AN () () | "The Voyage Home," stardate 8390. | | () ()() ()()()() +-----------------------------------------+ | ()() () () ()ARDT |JANET E-mail : vanaards@uk.ac.man.cs.p4 | +--------------------------------+-----------------------------------------+
