[comp.sys.acorn] 8-bit Disc drives

I'm at a bit of a loss when it comes to disc-drives, so...

I've got an 80track DS drive, (running in Single Density, with
Acorn DFS). Drive 2 (ie the 2nd side) used to work fine, but
it rarely works now; I think the drive has just about had it.
Drive 0 still works fine. For the moment.

So, I think I need a new one. My question is this: Can I hook up
any old PC drive, or a PC high-density drive, (which would
be very convenient...) or do I need a special whiz-bang BBC
drive (which would no doubt cost more dosh).

Oh, unless there's some little switch or link or something I
should take a look at which might remedy the situation? No?
I thought not.
