Many things, so check the subjects down the side :
Nethack: well I guess it is so large that maybe posting was a dumb idea.
If there is a 1 meg version I would very much like to see it
though. Perhaps I could post a formatted *floppy* and return postage?
APDL : Thanks very much to RKL for all the wonderful software he has written.
He deserves every penny he gets from APDL....
I don't believe that all pd excludes libraries from making a profit,
but some software does say so. The copywrite laws are mainly in
force to prevent someone from nicking (stealing) the code and
making money as if it was their own. I would like to see full
copyright notices on all pd (especially fonts and pictures, of which
I have nearly 25 discs) so that I know whether I can give a copy
to my friends or not. I was recently given alot of fonts as pd, but
one called EFF_AG was included. This sounds like an Electronic Font
Foundry font, so I am wiping it.
comp.binaries.acorn? My vote is yes, since it will end the discussion,
but if it is already in creation, well done. ps I am very glad that
I don't have to pay for the phone bill. I don't have a modem, or
phone line, so I can't subscribe to World of Cryton, or Archive etc.
Its great being a student , isn't it.
PD again : if anyone is searching for pd then mail me to see if I have it
I'll send you any pd I have for 1 pound sterling per disk,
( or if I am in a good mood then snailmail me with return postage and
formatted disks and nice sprites/gifs/fonts/strackers
that you KNOW are pd, with something saying so, and I'll
turn it around as soon as I get
round to it. ) I am not trying to undermine any other library,
because my maximum output would be a couple of disks a day. I am a full
time student, currently at college on Saturday afternoon, taking a break
from writing a bl***y Pascal subset compiler.
Translator: Thanks very much to John Kortink. But did you have to change
the filetype icons, I quite liked the old ones :-)
Adverts: I am going to place an 'advert' for a newish software house, who are
looking for new programmers to program Desktop Applications, and/or
games for the Arc. I am not an employee, but I did help out at a
computer show once. If anyone has any serious objections to this
then mail me now, and if enough people are annoyed at the idea
then I won't post.
RISC OS 3 : is being developed all the time as I understand it,
which is why there are so many version numbers (heard this third
hand). It is likely to be released as Risc Os four or five, in
the far flung future. There is no point in bothering Acorn about
it though. I am sure that they will give out the usual
annoncements in due course. (I really know nothing about this
for sure. It is all rumour)
Sound Freaks : The (310) sound upgrade for bypassing the lowpass filter found
in the soundtracker manual sounds very good. You can hear alot
of sounds missed, even with headphones. It does have a slight whine
though which means that my Sound freeak friend (the one with the
MIDI,keyboard, sampler, and 2meg.) is going to build a
better filter to replace the one in the Arc. Has anyone else tried
this? Do they know the best way of going about this?
The end:
I am sorry for any spelling mistakes, errors, ommissions.
Please do not flame me (that includes you, Jason "I'm HIGH" O.),
but I am willing to discuss anything.

I just got a Parser (of sorts) working. Gotto admit, couldn't have done it without Arc,C and flex (don't like UNIX implementations) PS : for all those who remember me slaggin off DP's flex, I've also gotto admit, now I've got a nice 45Mb SCSI drive, it does work slightly better.
