OK ,, getting off ARM/C debates etc.. who likes Interdictor II? in particular, who like Interdictor II _AND_ knows something about flight aerodynamics? Well, I tried this a while back .. Flaps out, gear down, engine idle .. all the drag I could muster, then pulling the nose beyond 15 degrees (roughly stall angle of attack), preferably in a slight turn. When it stalls, pull HARD back, and bank to the opposite side of the turn you were in when you stalled. Flying freaks should try to understand what I'm attempting here - A SPIN !!! In theory .. the above manoeuvre should send the aircraft spinning like a top (due to the un-level stall, and the use of ailerons in the stall).. However, I think I've detected a BUG :-( in interdictor 2. Why? - because a stalled aileron shouldn't work - it should drag, but on this games (simulator ?), it does, and promply banks out while stalled .. why? surely this is wrong .. I thought interdictor 2 was supposed to be a really accurate flight model .. but no matter what I try, I can't spin it :-( this is a major flaw for me .. fighting baddies is _boring_ .. I want to be able to spin/stall/spiral dive/ reverse cuban eight .. everything a _real_ aircraft would do.. don't suppose there's anyone out there who knows anything about the program and its dissability to spin ?? Interdictor 2 wasn't meant to be perfect, I don't think. My friend who studies Aeronautics here thinks it is a great game even if it isn't as precisely realistic as some of the PC filght simulators. But I have another Aeronautics friend (amiga owner, HA :-) ) who wouldn't play anything unless he knew the plane from its blueprints. An exaggeration, but you get the idea. --------- My Caps Lock key is very dodgy. Sometimes you have to press/hit it several times. --------- Anyone heard about the Spectrum Emulator? Any good games? --------- Anyone got any good pictures? or an archive? (yes, thanks Adam, email me a couple of 100k if you have time/money) --------- Since I am waffling on I might as well mention ------zip------ edited away by the boredom police -- ALEX MCLINTOCK (ug) | Imperial College | or/ Sci Fi Soc, IC Union alm@doc.ic.ac.uk | Computing Dep. | Beit Hall, STUDENT REP TO CSG|||| Huxley Building | Prince Consort road, ICSF VICE CHAIR THING| Queens Gate Road----->London SW7
