Dear All,
I have now made PlaceIt use the MessageTrans module for all the
message it produces and the menus. This is to make life easier for people who
wish to change the messages and menus into their language.
Unfortunately the MessageTrans module is *NOT* in the PD and so I
cannot distribute it without a licence from Acorn. But it is being used by
several of the new applications (Impression Junior uses it some I am told) as
do the new printer drivers so quite a few people must already have it.
Would anyone who updates the message file (within the !PlaceIt
directory) please send me a copy so that I know what versions exist. Send all
mail to pmf@uk.ac.warwick.cs or maumg@uk.ac.warwick.cu (the former is
preferable).
This version has been released to the newcastle info server and has
the name placeit_mes. So send mail to info_server@uk.ac.newcastle with the
message

I tried to post it to the now from comp.binary.acorn but the mail got
bounced back with user unknown. Oh well I will have to try again when I return
in two weeks time.
