I didn't turn my brain cell on that morning... Anyway, you can see the principle I am trying to get across, here. Basically a FS that you can give a file to and it will broadcast a dataopen or a dataload to a specific application, and then when the data is saved back to it, it will return to you with a dataload. Although it isn't amazingly good in any specific case (i.e. if you specifically re-wrote !Edit and your application to include special messages, you could do a lot better, but you WOULD have to re-write them to some extant), it would work, without having to modify Edit (or Draw,. or Paint, or...) in any way whatsoever.
