[comp.sys.acorn] Desktop publishing

dahe@cl.cam.ac.uk (David Elworthy) (04/23/91)

I am interesting in hearing opinions of the various DTP packages for the
Archimedes. In particular, what I want is *comparative* evaluations. I have
used Acorn DTP for some time, so this might be a good reference to compare
other packages to. I'm aiming to find out about
 - generally good and/or bad features
 - the single thing which make you want to use it/throw it in the bin
 - reliability: does it crash?
 - intuitiveness: does it do what you expect?

Either e-mail or post. I summarise any e-mail I get on the subject.

On the subject of choosing a desktop publising package. You are propably
better off looking first at CC's Impression because it makes a lot of
other programs look mediocre.

Quoting a magazin article from memory:
Impression is on it's own a good enough reason for buying an ARC.

Disclaimer: No connection with CC what so ever, just a satisfied user.
