A while back I bought myself a 20Meg hard drive and a Watford ST506 interface to go with it. The i/face is an A310 podule but I am using it on an A3000. A perfectly reasonable thing to do acording to Watford :-) However, I also have an Acorn midi board inside my machine and the 2 boards have problems running together. I have a Yamaha organ connected to the midi and if the instrument is off then everything is ok. BUT if the organ is switched on, then any attempt to access the hard drive will cause the hourglass to appear and the machine to hang up :-( This is a real pain in the neck if you midi stuff is on the hard drive. I have asked Acorn about it a couple of times and they said they used to have a similar problem which they ironed out. So if you too have an A3000 and you treasure your midi, don't bank on a Watford A310 HD interface working as well. Cheers, Rik
