Can anyone out there tell me if there is software which will run on a BBC B to convert rtty transmissions into plain readable text ? You know; bleeps from shortwave set -> back of BBC -> (software) -> screen. Also, are there any anonymous-ftp sites around that store BBC software ? They have a large program base already written to deal with their UOSAT sattellites and the conversion programs are also there. We had a demonstration of some of their software at a User Group night and it is quite impressive. Mark mark@otto.bf.rmit.oz.au Secretary, Victorian BBC Users Group.

Several years ago I wrote a program to convert rtty pulses into readable text. It requires a demodulator to convert the rtty tones into 0/5V pulses, which are then fed to the userport. If you are interrested, I can mail it to you. If there is general interest i will post it to this group. -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ! Per H.
