This subject reminds mw of the Falklands war. I was very keen on knowing what was happing and what we planned to do next, BUT if the BBC news did that, the Argentinians would also find out... Essentially I would very much like to know what Acorn are planning, but so would Acorn's competitors, even though officially they may deny that Acorn is any kind of serious threat. By delaying things until products are ready, Acorn is not only avoiding vapourware, but not giving competitors as much time to amend their marketing strategies. Having just said that, I suspect that their competitors may have a better idea than we have, of future Acorn products... Surely Acorn could tell us more without giving too much away to their competitors? I must admit to find it curious to see a strategic link between Acorn and Apple, via ARM Ltd, when the Apple Mac and Archimedes are directly competing in the educational market. As a matter of interest can anyone give a list of products/companies using ARM chips (other than Acorn)? -Gavin. -- The main "user" of well brought up, and educated, children is the community at large.
