I am looking for a way to expand my A3000 to more than one external podule. I already have two (MIDI and Scanner) whilst SCSI sits in the internal slot, currently I have to physically swap the external cards. I know of the box which hangs off the back and round the side (I forget who makes it now) but this is not satisfactory as the PSU has to be external and it is very untidy - however I believe this to be a well made expansion (Beebug have endorsed it). I also know of Watfords 'ULTIMUM' which on the face of it seems ideal, I could even put my hard disk inside and make everything tidy. However, I have not heard any independent assesment of the unit. I wrote to Watford with various technical questions and got sent back my letter with 'Yes', 'No' and '?' written by the questions - not very helpful, especially as one of the '?'s was for the dimensions. Surely someone could have found a tape measure! I am very loath to buy from Watford because of past experiences with them (I bought my A3000 from them originally - need I say more), but I would like to hear from anyone who has had experience of ULTIMUM. Has anyone bought Ground Controls 4MB expansion for the A3000 ? Is it any good ? It is certaily cheap at UK#170 (inc VAT).
