[comp.sys.acorn] Solidisk User Group

yorkr@p4.cs.man.ac.uk (Richard York) (06/20/91)

Hi,
I'm still a model B user (there aren't many of us left!). I am also a
member of a user group for Solidisk products (remember those?),
specifically their SWR and DFS products. I also collect STL bits and
pieces so if anyone has any STL kit that they wish to sell (cheap) let
me know. I will be interested. I have already produced circuit diagrams
for some of their later products, as well as rewriting large parts of
their DFS, ADFS, Manager ROMS etc.
Solidisk no longer have anything to do with the beeb (they now sell
'custom' PC's, mainly based on far easten products) so solinet is the
ony help now available.
    Anyway the Solinet Editor is Ron Marshall and his address is;

41 Westbrook Drive,
Rainworth,
Nr. Mansfield,
Nottinghamshire.
NG21 0FB
ENGLAND.

The group distributes a disc with programs, letters, hints etc on it
every two months. The costs is $4 a year which is simply to cover the
editors expenses. There is also a user group 'library' run by one of
the members where you can get PD software , C tutorials etc. plus the
option of borrowing books, manuals etc from the groups 'paper bank'

Hopefully there may be some people out there who this may interest. I
am leaving at the end of the term tommorow but any mail sent to me
SHOULD survive until I start again next term. If in doubt send queries
to the editor.
(my address for the holidays is 'Upperlands' Milton Street,
 Narborough, Leicester LE9 5EZ)
