Well, maybe someone at DEC can tells us what the heck ever happened to the BAM-11 status and alarm monitor??? It interfaced to relays and a dr11-C board; measuring critical voltages and temperatures throughout the frame, with the ability of software notification, shutdown and physical power off!!! We have two of them; they tell us that they are no longer available. Maybe TPL??? Randy King ..we13!rjk

If you are interested in the following device, please send a mail message and I will attempt to provide full scale literature. This is a survey to see if a special product that was constructed several years ago should be resurected. ENVIRONMENT SHUTDOWN SYSTEM. This is a simple little box that interfaces to the DR11 family of parallel interfaces. It provides the following things. 1. Digital Readout of Current Temperature. 2. Digital Readout of Current Relative Humidity. 3. Digital Readout of Current AC Line Voltage (averaged over a short interval. 4. Hardwired shutdown waring signal. Provided 1-10 secs (programmable, perhaps up to a desired time) warning if a preset limit is exceeded. 5. Hardwired shutdown relay contact. Suitable for driving a shunt current trip. This is double action, and has been designed to be relatively failsafe. 6. A couple of other relay or contact inputs, suitable for interfacing to a fire alarm system, that can be used as additional shutdown signals. The box itself is relatively inexpensive, the digital temp and humidity gadgets will take your breath away. I will send plans to people who have serious enquiries, along with estimated costs. Note that this little gadget is not repeat not Underwriters Approved, and you may have some funny problems with your insurance company if you use it!
