Hello Networking Enthusiasts, I am an assistant LAN administrator at the Sloan School of Management at MIT. We are currently running Novell Netware 286 2.15 Rev A. In order to be able to have the network files (IPX and NET3) memory resident and be able to use our ethernet cards (3COM 3C501) for other functions (like TELNET and FTP), we are using the 3COM 3C501 packet driver version 5.0 from Clarkson. Novell Netware 286 allows the network shell programs to use the 3C501 packet driver interface to access the ethernet card for Novell. My question is: Does Novell Netware 386 allow generation of network shell programs that use the 3C501 packet driver interface? I ask this because we are thinking about upgrading to Novell Netware 386 and hope that it also supports creation of network shell programs that use the packet driver interface. To avoid bogging down the network, please send all replies to: charles@sloan.mit.edu or charles at sloan.bitnet Thank you, Nathanial G. Charles Assistant LAN Administrator Sloan School of Management, MIT.
