I have a server running Advanced Netware 2.0a that has a problem.
Some time ago, it started producing "FAT entry out of sequence" messages w
booted. The operations people didn't tell me about this. Eventually, the
server crashed.
I reinstalled Netware and reloaded files from backups. And verified that it
booted cleanly.
Two weeks later, I booted the server and noticed the same message two times.
I can't find this message in any documentation I have on hand.
Can someone tell me what this means and what, if anything, I can do about it?
Server configuration:
Advanced Netware 286 version 2.0a
Acer 900 (10 Mhz 286 machine) with 2.6 Mb memory.
Adaptek 2372C disk controller
in mapping mode to use the entire drive
Maxtor 2190 disk drive
Ontrak DM/N in non-standard mode (I don't know why this is needed, but
the server doesn't boot without it.
